Depart from USA on an overnight flight to Beijing.
Once you arrive in Beijing you will be escorted to your hotel so you can rest.
In Beijing, you will take a city tour and see attractions such as the Yuanming Garden and the Yongho Palace. For dinner in the evening, the famous Peking Roast Duck will be served.
The Beijing city tour will continue with a visit to the amazing Beihai Park and the Confucius Temple. In the afternoon, you will fly to the city of Urumuqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region.
In the morning, you will take a cruise on Heavenly Lake. Then, you will visit the city museum, the Redhill Park, and the Bazaar in the aftenoon. A roast lamb dinner will be served in the evening.
From Urumqi, you will take a motorcoach to the city of Turpan. Upon arrival, you will visit the Gaochang Old City, the Astana Ancient Tombs, and the Flaming Mountains. In the evening, you can enjoy a minority dance show.
Turpan is a location well-known for its grapes and honeydew melons, but at the same time, very rich in historical links to the Silk Road. The day’s excursion will take you to the Grape Valley and Jiaoho Old Cities.
Day 8 Turpan to Urumqi to Dunhuang
From Turpan, you will take a motorcoach to Urumqi. Upon arrival, you will board a flight for Dunhuang, one of China’s most historic cities. Dunhuang served as a rest stop for traders and as the gateway through which Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity entered China. The tour of the city will include visits to the Singing Hill, the Moon Lake, the Municipal Museum, and the movie studio. In the evening, enjoy a nice dinner show.
In Dunhuang, there will be a full day excursion to the Mogao Grottoes, known as “The World Art Treasure House.” The cave is the largest, most well preserved treasure house of arts in the world and is listed as one of the World Cultural Heritages.
From Dunhuang, there will be a morning visit to Jiayuguang, the western terminus of the Great Wall, built more than 600 years ago. In the afternoon, you will take a flight bound for Lanzhou. (If air service is not available, an overnight train will be used.)
There will be a full day boat excursion to Liu Jia Xia Dam, Bin Ling Temple and Lanzhou Museum.
There will be a morning tour that will take you to the White Pagoda Mountain and the Five Spring Mountain Park. After lunch, you will fly to Xian. Upon arrival, you will visit the Ancient Wall, the Bell Tower and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Today, you will visit the famous Terra-Cotta Warriors of Qinshihuang, Hua Qing Hot Springs, and the Banpo Museum. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Imperial Dumpling Dinner and a stage show of the Tang Dynasty.
After breakfast in Xian, you will fly to Shanghai. Once you arrive, you will go on a city tour that will take you to the Yu Garden and the Jade Buddha Temple. After dinner, you will be entertained by an exciting acrobatics show.
In Shanghai, you will get a tour of the Bund and Nanjing Road. The afternoon will be leisure time for you to rest and explore the city on your own.
Today, you will depart from Shanghai on an overnight flight to USA.
